Going Out into the World: Strategies for Internationalizing Catalan companies

Going Out into the World: Strategies for Internationalizing Catalan companies

1st edition (2007): Going Out into the World: Strategies for Internationalizing Catalan companies

FemCAT Forum is a meeting point where the Catalan business community has an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge relevant to economic and social development. Since its first edition in 2007, the FemCAT Forum tackled issues such as internationalization, country brands, training, research and innovation, knowledge transfer, employment and immigration.

To internationalize, export, invest, and compete with companies around the world. To think about larger markets than those closest to us. In short, going out into the world to become more competitive in a globalized environment. This being one of the main challenges for Catalan companies, the first Forum presented a debate about the most appropriate strategies for internationalization of Catalan companies.

In addition to outstanding Catalan executives, the event was attended by international speakers such as General Colin L. Powell, Secretary of State of the United States (2001-2005); Steve Forbes, Steve Forbes, President and CEO of Forbes Group; Erkki Liikanen, Governor of the Bank of Finland and European Commissioner for Business and the Information Society (1999-2004); Mikko Kosonen, Mikko Kosonen, Senior Vice President of Nokia Strategy (1997-2006); and Juha Rantanen, Finpro President and CEO of Outokumpu Group.
